So this is what i filmed yesterday, a get ready with me for CNY / full face of new makeup for CNY!Pretty much every year i would gather full set of makeup to wear on CNY (as you probably already know, i get a LOT of makeups from PR kits and also, before pandemic - goodie bags from events. I actually used to wear new makeups for every event 😅, that's how much new makeups i have in my collection) but as this year i have a little more time to do my makeup (because no open house n no other plans so we're very 'laxed this year) i decided to film it and make a content out of it 🤣.My actual CNY look is similar every year, anything fast and make me look more awake (because i do wake up earlier on CNY, to get more luck hahaha) - but i love how this year's look come out, maybe because i wasn't stressed out or in a hurry as usual! And because i add a lot more bling2 products than usual.. Btw, the products are new for me (as in newly opened, i have hundreds of unopened new products 😓) but they are not necessarily new in the market ya, most of them aren't 🤣. I was obsessing over Cheong Sam top at Shopee for this look but i also remembered that i once bought a dress with cheong sam collar many moons ago but i just didn't know where it was (if you ever been to my walk in closet, you'd understand why i could never find anything 🤣🤣🤣) - but i think my guardian angel was looking out for (my wallet) me because i suddenly find it 🤣. It's sleeveless though so i decided to layer it with my black lace top - and i actually think the final result is convincing enough so i'm pretty happy!

Oh and the gold tassle thingy i'm holding is actually a pen that costs me 4k 😁.

Expectation : Fang Bing Bing in The Empress of China.Reality : Na Cha (Ne Zha / Chun Li 🤣🤣🤣. Anyway, i've discovered in the past year that i love to recreate makeup looks and adapt it to my own style, this light Chinese Opera eye makeup really was inspired by Fang Bing-Bing's look in The Empress of China, using very muted and light color but still emphasizing in the fluid, Chinese Opera singer eye makeup style. I purposefully wanted to make my eyes look more slanted and small but it's not as easy as making my eyes look bigger 🙈, due to the shape of my eyes that are already rounded in the first place. It's yet another simple look but i love how it turned out and the effect it created.
