When I was a child I iasked mom what was pizza? She said it was like kerak telor, a traditional food from Jakarta: round shape, made from sticky rice and egg, within shredded coconuts and dried shrimp as topping. And I think my mom was right, definitely they are similar in look but diffetent in taste for sure 😅

Kerak Telor Bumbu Bali as written on menu book at @locarasa made me curious, since I was craving for chilli. But the taste were not so different with the original ones, "dough" not as crispy as found at abang-abang but that's ok. May be next I must try the rendang ones. For me, they should reduce the shredded coconut and add more chili flakes + dried shrimp 🌶🦐
