This year, I try my first acne treatment and surprisingly its on budget product. It costs only 61.500 rupiah. Its evalen gel, contain of 0.1% adapalene. Its also called with different name in the US or other countries as a Differin gel. It is tricky to use because It can be irritated and dry out your skin if you don't hydrate enough. For the first timer user, I recommend to use 2 times a week and gradually increase until your skin can handle it. It also makes me purging like a crazy hell! All invisible comedos and acne emerging out to my upper skin, dull skin more visible, but it happens just for a while. Why purging? Because the adapalene has a function to turn over cell fast. It degunk all acne, whitehead and comedos rapidly. Then, your skin become more clearly after that.
For my experience, I used it on the night only and it has to be the end of my skincare treatment (after moisturizer) and for minimizing the dryness and irritation, I layer my skincare routine. None all of these has a function as exfoliator. So, all my layered skincare products should hydrate and moisture enough and after that the last step is my tiny evalen gel.
